Tim is Deputy CIO and has overall responsibility for the firm’s origination activities. Before joining Coller Capital in 2000, Tim was Global Head of ScotiaMocatta, a division of ScotiaBank, involved in: structured and leverage finance, sovereign debt, resource banking and derivatives, with a focus on emerging markets. Before this, he was Chief Executive of Mocatta Group, a global division of Standard Chartered Bank. He led the sale of the business to ScotiaBank in 1997.

Prior to this, Tim spent fifteen years with Standard Chartered, primarily in Singapore, New York, and London. He held senior posts in corporate banking, corporate finance and treasury, including positions as Executive Vice President, Standard Chartered, New York and CFO, Standard Chartered New York.

Tim has a BA (Hons) from Durham University. He is currently on the advisory committees of 3i, ABS Ventures, Deutsche Bank Special Opportunities Fund, RBS Special Opportunities Fund, Shell Technology Ventures, Washington & Congress, DFJ Esprit II, Pearl Diver Capital, Euro Atlantis and Cavendish Square Partners.
